Today, was one of the most memorable times I've had all summer. It may not be the first time I met my bestie since I came back, but seeing her and Shu felt extra good today. Maybe the fact that time is running out (as I'm returning to Melbourne pretty soon) made us cherish the short time we had tonight. They gave me an unexpected call and persuaded me to join them for dinner and drinks nearby.

The waiters in the restaurant must have been amused with our silly antics. Bursting with giggles over the smallest jokes, we looked like a bunch of teenage highschool girls. And I really miss that. Darlings who know me so well that I can be my total self without ever needing to worry about being judged, despite the fact that I'm the eldest among the three of us :D The feeling that tells me I never need to grow up whenever I'm with them.

And I appreciate that they made the initiative of meeting up regardless of the commitments they have in their hands.

If I had the choice of packing them or a mouth-watering set of designer wardrobe, I would pick them. It would be a really tough choice (haha), but I could always get new clothes in Aussie. But friends like these are irreplaceable. Yes, my other loves have walked by my through difficult paths as of 2007, but it has been the childhood friends that has been around the longest, guiding me thru everything, far longer than I can remember.

While I'm looking forward to see my loves in Melbourne, leaving my KL darlings makes me feel really heavy-hearted. The next time my mum asks me to list out what I need in Melbourne, I shall put them at the top of my list. Figuring how to pack and send them over to me shall be mum's problem, not mine hehe.

I understand that the distance will not make a huge difference because that's just how strong the ties of friendships could be. You could pick up where you left off even it was years ago and it would feel like you've just talked yesterday. But I'm really greedy and want them by my side so I could reach out for them whenever I needed them.
