Friday Night Dinner

I rushed home from a group meeting in Uni to meet up with my parent's friend and her son-in-law. She was here in Melb, visiting her daughter who just gave birth to her first baby.

Aunt Audrey was kind enough to try to contact me last weekend, insisting on buying me dinner while she was here. We managed to arrange a time despite my class schedule.

Anyway, her son-in-law Justin took us to this Japanese restaurant named Shoyu in Chinatown. The food wasn't bad. The oysters were really fresh, but $8 for a piece of oyster, it had to be, right?

And if the dinner we had wasn't enough, we headed to Brunswick St for San Churros! Mmm..since the self-proclaimed chocaholic like me has hardly ever talked about the love of chocolate, now should be the time. Another chocolate place like Max Brenner and Koko Black, San Churros serves this famous 'hot cold chocolate'. Sounds weird? It's basically ice cream in hot chocolate, I think. Yummy. And, something chocolate lovers should never miss - churros served with chocolate dips. I had two flavours - milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Both just as good.

On my way home, I picked a cake I ordered to celebrate my boy's birthday which I used to surprise him at midnight :) I didn't get him anything yet. Been so busy, not enough money to get him something really nice, and I have no idea WHAT to get yet as well.
