iLosT my iTouch.

Sigh. I'm super sad. I lost my iPod Touch at work yesterday. I didn't even realize it was gone until I was getting ready to get off work! I REMEMBERED that I placed it in the drawer at my counter. So, I was sure that I took it to work with me.

It was a pretty busy day - good sales, a good amount of crowd, and lots of new clothes to put up. But I had my eyes on the counter most of the time even when I wasn't standing there to guard the area. I couldn't figure out which customer was it until I checked the camera footage today.

Some lady asked me for a size of a particular pants and I had to walk to a blind spot, to check. As soon as I was out of her sight, being blocked by a huge pillar, she literally leaned across the counter to open the drawer and took it! OMG. It was so pissing off when I saw it!

And to think that I purposely charged the battery and added new songs the night before, just for the blardee thief. Geramnya!!

Do you reckon I should make a police report? But what's the point unless they can catch the lady and return my iPod? :/

I feel so empty walking around without being able to listen to my music. Sigh. And it was only a year old :( Including the case and earphones I bought for it, that is $650 down the drain!
I've been a lil' sulky over it all day. And it's gonna last for a couple more days.

Janice seems a little too happy for my lost - keep reinforcing her suggestion to get iPhone again =.=
I cooked spaghetti bolognese for dinner. It was pretty spontaneous but I seriously didn't have mood to have dinner outside since I was busy mourning over my loss. Lack of ingredients but I think it turned out alright :) I've been putting sambal oelek and honey into my bolegnese sauce. I think it adds a good touch to it. I'll try out Yish's suggestions next time, if I'm ever bothered to go marketing again.

Anyway, I just remembered the reason for this post. Yish and I were talking about how we love this grey cardi we both bought from GP ages ago. And that I planned to collect different colors every year. Except that I bought one in a different material last year and didn't find it as comfy.

I bought another one today, along with many other things.. She asked for a picture and when I finally took one, she's no longer online :/
New sheets from Laura Ashley - I tend to buy them during VIP Night since you get a bargain!Okay, Yish. Here's a close-up of the wood buttons just for you. The cardi is true to color in the pic. Looks like beige despite being labelled as pale pink.

I THINK I spent about $700 today, which was totally unplanned. o_O" I wasn't even lemming on a lot of things! I think it must have been the need for retail therapy to soothe my sadness.

I should start following Shopaholic's Anonymous' tactic - "DO I REALLY NEED THIS?" :P Nah, I think I just shouldn't be left alone when shopping. At least a companion could stop me, if the purchase weren't worth it. Okay, shall refrain from buying anything in these two weeks.
Now, back to my sulking *pouts* as I try to get some sleep before work.

Lost & Found.

You know, just about a week ago, I was starting to worry that I've lost my watch. I realise that it's no longer within sight. Not on my study table nor in one of my bags.

That's the thing about me. The more I treasure something, the more likelihood of it getting lost somehow despite how careful I try to be! I can't say I wasn't careful about these prized possessions. I usually take out my watch and jewelleries before I shower. And eventhough I do sometimes procastinate putting them back on later, I eventually do or at least know where they are lying around.

But somehow, I will always lose them. Just like how I lost one side of my diamond earring studs when I showered. One of my daily routine would be to take them off before I shower. But on the very day I was in such a rush to shower and head out, I realised I lost one of it :(

And then there was the ring my mum bought me this year. I would carefully slide it off my fingers and put them next to the sink before I shower (because I don't want them to get wet and turn yellow-ish) and suddenly one day, I realise it's no longer on my finger! Goodness, where did it go?! Did I misplace it or did it somehow miraculously slip off my finger?? Ah, the heartbreak.

Okay, there are a couple of other stuff as well which I rather not mention about anymore la.

Now, my watch. My mum bought it for me as my graduation (degree) gift so it has alot of sentimental value to me. For a week or so, I've been quietly wondering to myself where could it be since I went through all my bags and found nothing.

Just half an hour ago, when I finally moved my big ass to start doing laundry (yes! At 3am hehe), I found it. Yessss! Where? In one of my denim skirt's pocket. I must have put it in before I rushed out one day, didn't wear it til the end of the day and chucked the skirt into my laundry basket.

See, who said it doesn't pay to do your laundry. :D

PS: Let's hope I find my ring while doing more house chores in the future!

Extended Holiday

My 'holidays' had been extended. Not the way I intended it to. Sure, I would love to stay here longer to eat all the food and meet friends I've missed, but not on the expense of losing my passport. :( Yes people, the careless me has lost something that important. That is, if little trumpet boy Ryan has not told all our mutual friends. I was pretty surprised when a couple of people come messaging me on MSN suddenly, asking me the progress of my passport problem.

Anyway, it just gave me a little more time to run my errands and spend time with my loved ones. Though I'm not exactly looking forward to another semester of studying, I am sure relieved that I won't be missing another few weeks of classes. Imagine my horror when some people told me there were cases where people had to wait 10 years to get back their passport. When the arrogant officer in the immigration who interviewed me about my lost passport told me it is standard to take 3-4 weeks to get it done, I was nearly in tears.

Anyway, my dad's friend helped me speed things up. It's ready to be collected this coming Monday. Kiss my ass, you useless arrogant officer. Hmph. That sure feels good. Hated his attitude. Talk to me with no respect. Why, because I'm a chinese is it? Or because I'm young and look easy to be bullied?!

Okay, besides that. I spent a nice lovely day with my Angeline. Movie, shopping and lunch. Sales everywhere, but I dare not shop so much. What's the point of shopping so much if I can't bring them back to Melb with me? :( When she left, I was just window shopping while waiting for Michelle to meet up for dinner. And shop even more.

And then, there was an unexpected surprise. I saw Harlem Yu. In person. And when he entered the van and sat there and wave to his fans, I was pretty near. Too bad it was too dark to take pics of him. I didn't even know he was there actually. But i saw a lot of people crowding around, having their cameras ready while waiting for 'someone' to appear. I was gonna move on, but I was just too curious and wanted to know which big time fella is coming out. I knew he was going to have a concert in Genting soon, but I did not expect him to be in 1U's Osim Roadshow event.

Some bananas may ask, who the hell is Harlem Yu. Gotta say, I don't know him that well. I think I've only heard about 3 of his songs. I think it was more of a 'unexpected sighting of a celebrity' part that made my day. Besides seeing my two close friends, of course. May post some pics up when I feel like it. :)

A stroke of bad luck

I suffered a great loss today. I lost my Samsung D500 handphone in Urban & Co., 1 Utama (New Wing). Why am I so sure that I lost it there? Because right after I entered the shop, I made a call to my boyfriend. Then I joined Angeline who was already in the fitting room. (No, please do not think nonsense!) I also went back outside to browse for more stuffs to try on and went into another fitting room.

It was when I walked to Parkson's bedding area when I realised that my handphone was missing. I was gonna take my handphone out to sms Yishyene which color she wanted for the bean bag covers for our new apartment, when I realised that my handphone case was empty. For awhile, I thought that my handphone had dropped out of the case, and the only thing I was worried about was that it may catch scratches from the countless things in my bags.

As I slowly went through my bag for it, this weird feeling slowly crept over me. Finally, I recognised the feeling. Pure panic. Angeline called my handphone to check if it was somewhere in my bag. Sigh. It was forwarded my mailbox. Just great.

We hurried back to Urban & Co. to check around to no avail. Angeline said it is pretty confirmed that the thief is a female. No guys went into the fitting room area and obviously, only ladies went into the fitting rooms. Bah. I hope she suffers really, really bad health thoughout the year of the Dog, JUST like a dog. No, make that bitch. Hmph.

The handphone was actually a gift from Ree Sion for our one year anniversary. *cries* Now, there is nothing left of it. My heart really aches. I miss it so much. It's something I really need, in my life. Not that I make THAT much calls or smses in a day, but I just love having it by my side. :)

Its doesn't have the latest functions - 1.3 megapixels instead of 2 megapixels, no external memory card, etc. But the functions are good enough for me. Its got pretty sharp colors, 1.3mp camera ain't that bad, and mp3 player as a backup just in case I don't have my iPod mini with me.

Anyway, Ms Thief, can you please return my beloved phone? At least for me to transfer some of the pictures that I've taken onto the computer. (And if possible, KILL you.)

Oh well, byebye my sweet one. You've done your best this half year. (I lost my Nokia 6100 last July 2005) I will always remember you. And since I am currently broke and can't get a nice new one now, I am stuck with my brother's old handphone. Bah!

If that wasn't bad enough, I sorta hurt my right thumb this morning. Now, it seems like there's a bit of dark blood stuck underneath the nail. Yucks.
