Well, how DID the day go by? Good enough. My honey had ordered some Nutella Chocolate Cake from Brunetti which *I* initially wanted to order for HIS birthday the month before but couldn't because you had to order it one week earlier. So, seems like he was more prepared than I was. Which is pretty much a miracle.
Anyway, to sum it up:
1) Midnight birthday cake surprise and movie in bed.
2) Movie at Hoyt's bean bags cinema.
3) Dinner at Donovan's, St. Kilda.
4) Drinks with some pals.
Hey, when I say 'movie in bed', I mean WATCH a movie while lying in bed. Please don't get any naughty ideas about *me* MAKING a movie in bed. -___-
The boyfriend was gonna buy us movie tickets at the President Suite or something which is equivalent to Gold Class but they had none left so we just bought the normal ones. I was pretty surprised that the cinema we entered was kind of the lover's cinema or something. There were just about 12 huge-ass LoveShag (or Shack?) bean bags on the floor for each couple to share. Pretty cool, since it was my first time.
It was a little chilly at St. Kilda but Donovan's was good. I loved the atmosphere and I thought the bathroom had this cosy feeling to it. I could only take pics of the bathroom since it was the brightest while the whole restaurant was pretty dim.
Had drinks with a couple of friends, and I think it was my big mouth that mentioned I saw a Happy Feet plush toy from Target which was really cute since it could sing and wobble around a bit.
The next day when I met up with them for dinner, they gave me a toy, but a different one as a gift for me. They were gonna get me the one I wanted but by the time Miss June reached Target, it was closed. Which is cool.
Despite how cute it is, I don't think forking out AUD80 for that small-sized ohmygod-cuteness penguin was worth it. I really appreciated the thought and gesture though. I miss you guys already. *sniff sniff* Thank god you all are coming back soon.
