A Great Getaway.

By the way, did I mention that I'm back in KL for holidays? :) It's a short one but I'll make it worth it. It feels good just to sleep in, not work and go out daily to meet friends or pamper myself with shopping and beauty therapy.

Night #3
I went to Beauty & The Beast Musical, on its very last night of performance at the KL Convention Centre.
With one of my closest male pal, Kurt.
A random picture I took while we were bumming outside.

Oh, we actually took a photo of the stage curtain inside the theatre but I need to grab it off him first. Post it up next time :)

A million thanks to Miss P. that helped us get the tickets. I'll treat you guys to dinner soon, okay? It's my turn to go see Ninja boys hehe.

Day #4

I went to Mid-Valley to meet Rayy for lunch and to shop around. We went around shopping for a bit before she had to leave in the evening. Will put up photos we took when I grab them off her.

Mei Kee and her beau was gonna look for me for dinner so I had time to kill. I couldn't book myself a walk-in appointment for facial therefore I nearly went bankrupt shopping while waiting for them. Make-up, lingerie, leggings, miscellaneous stuff etc.
We had dinner at the Thai restaurant in Gardens. It was okay, but definitely can't beat Ying Thai.
Taken right before they ditched me for Hancock. Well, I actually decided not to stay out past midnight since I've been out all day.

Day #5

My Saturday was well-spent with all my loved ones. Most of them anyway. I had lunch with Shu & Angeline at my all-time favourite Lucky Garden's Chun Hiong Kopitiam. I went a little crazy with ordering and had some meatball noodles, chicken rice, pan mee soup and raw fish as side dish. Obviously if you know me well enough, pan mee was my ultimate target. But they ran out of noodles since we arrived pretty late so it wasn't as good as I expected it to be. But it was good enough, just having that big bowl of soup with blended chilli in it. Mmm...Oh, of course I didn't finish all the food by myself la.

We went Plaza Damas for awhile and then headed to 1u where Mei Kee & her darl were waiting for us. Dinner at Korean BBQ and then window-shopping. I remember spending a very long time at Nine West, and being their last customers for the night.
Angie.
Shu.
My Mickey Mouse.
Swee Meng.

Day #6

Spent the day at home, 'growing mushrooms'. That's how Kurt puts it anyway - trying to complete the couple of TVB series that I brought back with me, episode after episode. Dinner with parentsat Ming Room, BSC to celebrate my mum's birthday in advance.

Day #7

I finally managed to meet Michelle during noon today. She skipped work for a VIP like me :D
We were at Kim Gary, snacking away while catching up with each other when I got a call from some unknown number. The guy who had a familiar voice, interrogated where was I and came to look for me.

Who was it? Leed Wi. With my bestie Mei Kee. I was pretty stunned since I didn't even know they were around.

Fast forward an hour or two, we decided to chill at Alexis instead.
I forgot the name of this one, but I liked it more than the Tiramisu - some pecan nut pie thing. The Tiramisu.

Somehow, we just decided to just have dinner there as well.
Michelle's Pho. Mine - Alexis' Signature Dish aka Sarawak Laksa. They've gotta be kidding me.We were fascinated for two seconds when Wi's dinner was served.Ah Wi's Seafood Marinara. The best one for the night.Leed Wi.Mei Kee's Tuna Salad.
Wi. Mei Kee.
Me & Mich.
Threesome.
Look at our height difference -_-" My bruised ego..
When Michelle left for the night, the rest of us hung out at Starbucks til around 10pm.

It was only when I went home did I realise that I didn't take a proper photo with Leed Wi alone, except the one from the back :/

Day #8

I had a facial appointment today. Right after, I met up with Min Wye for lunch to catch up.
I love how Fung Lye (at Gardens) serves their rice with minced meat. Yummm...
I had some spicy pork intestines thing. Not too bad..
The side dishes..just as good.
Min Wye had some fried chicken thing. And we shared some sweet potato balls, my fav!
My lunch companion.
Bumped into Yumie before we left. I only realised she blinked her eyes after I left the place. :(

Headed home in the evening. Mum's birthday, so didn't wanna stay out.

Day #11

Didn't go out for the past two days so it felt good when Janice came to MV to pick me today. Got a couple of errands done and then took me to her hew place just to have a look. Then she invited me to join her for dinner - her dad's birthday -_-"

I thought it would be really weird but it ended up being a really fun night. Her parents esp her dad, is super hilarious! Dinner was pretty fantastic, photos are in her camera. Will post it up when I grab the photos off her.

Day #12

Once again my Saturday is spent with Angeline & Shu. This time, Michelle came along as well. She took me to dry-clean a clutch before we headed to the same place last week for lunch. Only to find out that my favourite stall has closed for the day :(:(:(

Then we went to Plaza Damas because Mich felt like going there to take a quick browse. I ended up buying a tube dress and belt, which would go perfectly with my clutch (i think) - the perfect attire for a clubbing night back in Melbourne! .... IF there's still a chance to go clubbing anytime soon..
Mich left just a tad earlier than us. I insisted on taking photos with them during every outing this round, even at a Bubble Tea place.
Shu.
Ang.e.line.

After my parents picked my bro and I up, it was dinner at King Crab. Mm... cockers, salted egg crabs, butter crab, clams in chicken wine soup, honey-glazed pork ribs, 3-style steamed eggs, and noodles. And Jolly Shandy to down it all - man, I've missed that drink for awhile now haha.

Day #14

Had dinner at Jalan Imbi's Overseas Restaurant yesterday with the regular weekend dinner club friends. So I was surprised that parents decided to invite another friend out tonight to have dinner at Overseas Restaurant once again, this time at Jaya 33. I think it's because I've been craving for some Marmite Crab over the weekend. My chilled dessert - Boiled Pear 'tong shui' with 'kuk fa' in it. Nice!
Just a random photo of us siblings at Old Town Kopitiam after dinner - (L) Penguin; (R) Potato :D

A random note: Now I have cravings for Salted Egg Yolk Prawns. And Sambal Petai. Durians, maybe? Omg, am I pregnant?! Wait, can't be - unless that flow downsouth is red pee. Eww, I now have officially lost all my cravings.

Day #15
We caught the morning movie - Get Smart. Then it was lunch at Kim Gary before I headed for a facial appointment. Got this humongous zit since I met him exactly the same time last week -_-" I hate it!! I think I convinced him to pamper himself for a session before he flies back on Thursday :D

Day #16

I spent the day playing PA doing for my friends and maid, running from Time Square to Sg. Wang and then Low Yatt Plaza. Not to mention collecting a bag of goodies from Steph's brother's shop at Jalan Ipoh before that.
Right after a relaxing lunch with Yumie - catching up since we did not meet up during the past year, I dragged her along as I ran all the errands and favours for my friends. Her boy was nice enough to help out as well :) I still managed to get myself new pants, skirt, skincare, nail polishes and 2 pairs of shoes hehe. Seems like everything was 50% around me so I just COULDN'T resist. Yes, I'm VERY kiasu when it comes to sales.

Thank god we managed to find some time to unwind and have drinks for awhile after that. Thanks, love!

Day #17

I spend the noon at the salon, getting my hair done. Man, hair-straightening is like a half-yearly maintenance procedure :/ Gotta thank Yumie for haggling down the price with the salon owner when she took me in to make an appointment for today.

Victor T. texted me - merajuk-ing that I did not return his call last week. Since I'm somewhat booked for the next few days, I decided to squeeze him in for a quick dinner plan tonight. Ilegally, since my parents were heading out anyway. He picked me up and took me nearby for a dinner and express catch-up because he had plans after dinner. Decanter. I've only been here once before. The food was pretty good and very, very reasonable.
Lychee assam boi drink - very refreshing. Maybe I should try to make it myself at home.
An awful photo, but what to do..won't be meeting him anytime soon already. Thanks for dinner!

Day #18

I always somehow look forward to Fridays. It's like a 'die-die-almost-must-go-out' day. Mei Kee's been back from HK + Singapore trip since Monday. She curi ayam and spent the day with me - not that it was non-beneficial for her.. I cancelled my initial plan to head to KL since I managed to arrange for everyone to go with me the next day.
Lunch at Delicious, Bangsar Village. But this was taken at the toilet beforehand wtf.
Mei Kee ordered for me so I forgot its name. Some mushroom spaghetti - nice!!! *slurps* Hungry again..
Mei Kee's Salmon Spaghetti - not bad but please be warned that the smoked salmon is abit salty..

We randomly checked out this shop in the mall after lunch, before heading out to the outdoor shops.
I love this jacket! So cute, but i forgot to button it all up for the photos. The changing room is pretty unique - looks like old-school toilet! With the shower head and small face mirrors at the back hehe.
It's not massively expensive for a jacket..but I somehow feel guilty spending..

Then we walked outdoors..so many boutiques! Different layouts and concepts - nice, pretty and interesting! But it gets so tiring walking up and down the stairs. And I wore the wrong attire for a day that you wanna try on heaps of clothes :( And the hot weather..makes you feel sticky all over..ugh.

I was such a good girl. I bought NOTHING outdoors. So proud of myself. Actually there WERE stuff that I AM considering, but i'll leave it for now. If i really want any of those dresses, I will arrange to get them in the future.

But, on our way back. I made a stop at that nice shop once again.
The shop.

And realised that I really love the suit because I've been comparing everything to it all day. So i decided to get it, despite how guilty I felt. :/
I like the embossed prints on the paper bag. And the sticker is the form of a old-school red seal to seal the bag.
My jacket was put inside this 'document folder'. Cool, huh?

Mei Kee initially wanted to pay for it, but I wouldn't let her. Crazy girl. Anyway she dropped me off at MV before she rushed home to have dinner with her mum and sister.

I quickly called Valerie to see if she wanted to join Shu & I for dinner after work. Seon Jin (the girl we were all initially were supposed to meet) cancelled tonight's dinner plans but I decided to still have dinner with the rest of them. Angeline managed to find her way here after work, ad Elena popped by for a short bit as well. Shu. Me. Valerie (owner of Solemate - go check her shop out!)

Why do I look pregnant? -___-"

Day #19
This afternoon was a gathering for the girls - all from HELP, except for Mei Kee.
Me, Angeline, Elena, Seon Jin & Shu.
We wanted to meet up with Seon Jin as she is engaged, and her wedding will be held this Sept.

I wouldn't be able to attend it but I still wanted to see her since it's been years since I last met her.
Elena is another girl that I haven't seen much since 2005. I miss our Brisbane times :(
My dessert - Durian and original eggtarts. Elena's recommendation.Kurt's purchase for the day. Not for me also :(
Couldn't help posing silly with her.
Triple one four girl. Eleven 'o' five girl.
He slouched so much just to be on par with me :/
Killing time as I waited for my parents :D

Day #20

Jess cancelled our appointment for the third day in a row >:( Shu still decided to come and tagged Angeline out for lunch anyway. Again at Delicious.
Caesar Salad - without chicken.
My spaghetti once again. I remember its name now! Spaghetti Marcaporne Mushroom.
Mushroom soup.
Angeline & I.Shu & I.
Picture perfect.
Pretty lanterns in Bangsar Village. We went shopping around for abit, and then headed home.

At night, Kurt smuggled me out for dinner at Ninja Jones, North Point since I knew my parents would be home late. FINALLY, I get to go check out the Ninjas hehe. For once, he let me fork out the bill.
Volcano sushi. Yum yum..The ninja set.
Forgot the name of this squid dish.
My unagi and sashimi set.Me. Kurt.
I just HAD to take photos with these ninja boys. They purposely took out those swords to use as props hehe.

Bumped into Vic before I headed off too.

In return for dinner, slave gave me heaps of TVBs and movies to bring back to Aus. Yay!

Mich dropped by to pass me some things I left with her. The bag I took to dry-clean is not clean-looking at all! @#$%!! Though it's just RM20, why pay it for them to do nothing and make other slight water damages to my bag?!

Oh and despite being consoled by K that I look fine, my heart cracked a little when Mich said that her parents & bf thought that I put on some weight. Well, see how much food pics I post up also know why I can gain weight la, sigh. It's time to starve myself very soon :( What a tragedy.

************************************************************************************

Sigh, time's running short. As much as I miss Melbourne and my girls over there, I enjoy my KL loves' company. The food, and just shopping with my lovely darlings. The more time I spent with them, the more I can't seem to want to part with them now :( How how how?
