Steph cooked fish head curry for dinner yesterday. June, Siu Keong, Steph & I headed to Crown to catch a midnight horror movie. We gals slept over at J's. Had a good night gossiping and laughing away before we finally dozed off - one by one.
We went for yumchar at Taipan and then window-shopping at Westfield til evening. I spent a couple of hours on the bed with June - making funny remarks about everything and people. I'm not sure why, but we were in fits of laughter all evening while Steph got some serious reading and napped in a different room. Obviously the both of us hardly had any nap despite initially feeling lethargic while on our way back home to J's -______-"
Just thinking of today put a big smile on my face :) I can't even explain why, but it's most probably all the little conversations we've had from last night.
I love this new boyfriend blazer of mine from Bardot. It's got a very fitted cut. Adds a nice touch to my casual attire too :) Hope I do not lose control and start buying like, 5 more blazers during this phase of mine. I'll just buy another one, in a different color if I find myself another great blazer. Two, at most :x
I checked out 1806 for the first time with Shwee and Steph that night. I heard that the bar has claimed to have won an award for having the best cocktail menu in the world. When I heard that, I assumed that all the cocktails served would be super-yummy. Well, it was just alright.
Environment-wise, I'm sure the girls would prefer Supper Club. I found my cocktail just average - refreshing but lack of the taste of alcohol. Shwee's tasted like some cough syrup while Steph's Zombie was served in one of those Tiki cups, which I found to be pretty unique. The menu had long lists of cocktails served, along with ridiculously long descriptions enough to match the essays I write. Maybe their motto was to confuse the customers haha.
Besides dropping off our unwanted clothes at the Salvation Army and then treating ourselves to a nice cup of iced chocolate each from Koko Black, we spent the rest of our Saturday at home resting. Didn't even go to QBH despite June was working that night - lazy and tired.
To sum it all up, I think I had a pretty restful weekend. But I know that I'm just gonna feel tired as ever when I go back to work tomorrow. Well, being awake at this hour and having less than 4 hours of sleep will explain that.
Before I log off, just want to share a random story. I decided to read the blog of a girl that I haven't visited in ages. Seems like not only did she find herself a great catch, it's one of the most successful big fish around in Malaysia too (for his age, anyway)!
If you were a pure romantic:
You would swoon at all the little things he would do for her. All the surprises even on non-occasions.
I tell you hor - money cannot buy these things wan. The effort and creativity of it! Of course, money does come into play - just not a big part of it.
Sigh. How to find men like that these days, huh? I think he has found THE ONE. They both seem SO in love that I'm happy for them despite not knowing them!?!
And, if you didn't give a shit about romantic crap and preferred to be a materialistic woman:
I'm sure you would STILL like him, because he's a really smart and successful guy. And I dare say this is only the BEGINNING of his career loh.
If you were none of the above and only cared for looks:
Erm, with the money he is earning, I'm pretty sure he would be able to afford to go for some minor surgery. You can pick any catalogue and have him sculptured to however you want him to look. And then, you will have it all - sweet, successful AND handsome.
I'm not sure how did I even come to this, but I guess it's an indication that I should end my randomness and just go. Toodles.
