Janice & I decided to go back to Giraffe cafe before she left for KL this week.
A very interesting cafe. I loved the decor and interesting details they've added to the place.I wish I could go back there. Sigh. I need a getaway.I somehow wished I could put that black motif thing somewhere in my room.
Such a cute artwork.
The corner we sat last Saturday.Self-indulgent.Awwww..A picture of her taking a photo of me haha.My shepherd pie and side salad.Janice's mushroom pasta.
She found her pasta to be only average and didn't think she'll return to the cafe again. To be honest, it wasn't spectacular. But I kinda find it tasty, if you compared the standards of a home-cooked meal rather than of proper Italian restaurants. I mean, I'll be pretty satisfied with myself if I prepared that. And just for $8, you can't have extreme expectations from it. And it sure beat what Janice had last Saturday night.
My shepherd pie was okay, but unlike the traditional sort. Inside the pie were filled with spaghetti sauce and minced meat, instead of the usual dark minced beef and gravy.
Our tiramisu - which I felt was nice (because I love thick & firm cream cheese) but didn't taste like how it's suppose to. Janice's own version is more like the original tiramisu.
*Me*
Friday night was awesome. I had drinks with Caroline and two more lovely gals at Sister Bella. After dinner, we had another quickie round at Rooftop before I stumbled my way back home haha.
The not-so-awesome part was that Ming called me to meet up, 10 mins I'm suppose to meet Caroline. So I missed my chance to meet him :( *kicks self* Gotta still admit it was a well-spent night though. And the other downside of my evening was that I (or my parents, signed CC *shifty eyes*) had to spend $200 restoring my leather jacket that my mum ruined. She failed to remember that leather & water = no go. It's not even 100% restored to how I would have wanted it. Sigh, so that's why she's paying.Caroline. Me. Samantha.
Erna - a really bubbly gal.
Samantha - something about her reminds me of Ching Lee, somehow.
Did you notice my hair is shorter? :) Free hair cut. Not a big change, but I like it. I've got a more proper fringe now, and it somehow feels easier to manage despite heavily layered.
More on tonight's dinner.. tomorrow? It's 6.30am so I need to stop..
