Woke up real late today because I went to bed real late last night. I wished the reason I stayed up late was for a more productive reason though.
I wonder why do some people wear hoop earrings to gym. I forgot to mention this the other day but besides the magic spinning lady and leopard woman, another young girl was standing on my other side. She seemed nice and fine, but I couldn't help wondering why she would wear hoop earrings the size of my palm to a gym class. Where we will be moving around quite a bit. And true enough, hers dropped on the floor in the middle of the class and she had to clumsily pick it up.
Cooking - I've always loved it. Love to experiment and just see if it turns out well but it doesn't always do. Also it's harder to cook for one person and that was what I usually had to do last semester. This semester, I'm practically forced to cook because my boyfriend needs proper meals or else he will whine in hunger. I guess it's kinda good, in a way. I think my skills have improved. But its 40% luck. Hehe..or maybe 60%.
Heck, I attempted to cook fried rice the other day and it turned out not bad. Kinda reminded me of Suncrane's fried rice that Angeline, Ryan & I always had in the Brisbane City's food court. Eh, I didn't put any of those paste to cook wan, tau?
Back in Brisbane, my group of friends always had pot luck dinners. Angeline & I will always stress about what to cook because we were pretty lousy chefs. And the fact that nearly every friend of ours in the lot were pretty GOOD in cooking, made things worse. We once decided to cook Malay style fried rice by using some Brahim sauce to add some sambal taste to the rice.
It was alrite and our friends were asking how we made it taste so. Since we didn't wanna admit that we resorted to 'cheating', we just said it was our secret recipe, etc. Until my nosy Japanese neighbour, Aki asked nonchalantly 'Isn't it Maggi?'. We wanted to die. Right after killing him. Oh wait, that was another incident. It was the gravy we used for mashed potato. Haha..we always resort to paste packets to save our asses in these events.
Hmm..my social life pretty much died down this semester. Have been so busy juggling with uni and the new apartment that I didn't even really make much time to meet my friends. Oh well, when my guests arrive tomorrow, there will be much more to do.
I'm hoping with all my heart that Jason's friend would be interested in my old apartment. I don't expect Yish and I to be best of friends after this, judging from her body language when she dropped by briefly tonight to collect some things, but at least, our main problem will be over and hopefully, wounds will heal after some time.
Okay, time to watch horror movie! That's one good thing about staying with my boy. I won't feel scared since I won't be sleeping alone anymore! Nothing to feel scared about ;)
